While Mr. Lasuta is concerned that his little electric vehicle is taking a beating on our roads, he should be aware that all electric vehicle drivers are like leaches on the backs of all gasoline and diesel vehicle drivers. The gas and diesel vehicle drivers pay considerable tax on their fuel in order for the government to pay for road building and maintenance.
Until the government implements the requirement that all electric vehicle owners report annually their kilometres driven upon licence renewal and they are then taxed for road use, they should not be allowed on the roads, no matter what shape they are in.
